OPPOSE UNLESS AMENDED


This bill would eliminate the Office of State Superintendent of Public Instruction as an independent, nonpartisan elected constitutional officer and provide the governor with an appointment power to fill that position. CPC opposes this bill without amendments giving voters a more direct choice in the education of their children.
