On Valentine’s Day, Assembly member Damon Connolly submitted a bill to the California Assembly that would phase in a complete ban on the sale of all tobacco products in the state of California.

Connolly’s bill, AB 935 would mean anyone born on or after January 1, 2007 would never be able to buy tobacco products in their lifetime regardless of age.

If a complete ban wasn’t enough, Connolly’s bill threatens steep fines on cigar-loving Californians – up to $6,000 per violation.
