SUPPORT

Would require school districts to adopt and post online policies stating that interdistrict transfer requests are automatically approved if the district of residence does not respond within 30 days or if the district of proposed enrollment does not respond within 45 days. It would allow transfers to be denied for students who have been expelled or are facing expulsion, and would permit provisional acceptances when enrollment capacity is limited. The measure would apply to districts entering interdistrict transfer agreements on or after January 1, 2027.
