Rob Lapsley


Rob Lapsley is president of the California Business Roundtable, a nonpartisan organization comprised of the senior executive leadership of the state’s major companies employing over half a million Californians. Before he was named president in 2011, he was vice president and state political director for CalChamber. He served in the US State Department as special assistant to the US ambassador to Spain during the Iraq War. He was chief of staff to California secretary of state Bill Jones and served as undersecretary of state from 1995 to 2001. He has served on the PPIC Statewide Survey Advisory Committee since 2011.
